A couple of years ago, I wrote a blog about how and why I always turn down requests to read things for people who want to embark on the rocky road of penmanship. Or in other words, people who want to write. Be it books or screenplays.

The blog in question can be found here and I’m mentioning it again not because I have softened, but because I recently read something which took my views to a new level. Or rather, said pretty much everything I’d wanted to say in my blog but being polite, hadn’t.

Written in 2009 by Josh Olsen who penned the script for the brilliant A History of Violence, it’s entitled ‘I will not read your fucking script‘ which just about says it all.
